Peyton Creasey is a voice, piano, and musical theater instructor with a passion for performance and inclusive arts education. With a professional background as an actor, singer, writer, and composer, Peyton brings years of experience to Takoma Music School, offering instruction in voice training, piano, songwriting, and musical theater for students of all ages and backgrounds.
Peyton has performed throughout Virginia and North Carolina, with recent appearances at Zeiders American Dream Theater in Virginia Beach. As a composer and playwright, Peyton’s original musicals and song cycles—such as Pencil the Date and Suburban Dreams—have been featured at festivals like the St. Louis Fringe Festival, the Proteus Festival, and the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts. Their work explores powerful themes, including grief, identity, and the teen experience during COVID, earning workshops at respected institutions like the University of Arizona and Christopher Newport University.
In addition to their performance and composing work, Peyton has experience teaching in public schools and working with students in special education. Their inclusive, student-centered teaching style empowers learners to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of music and the performing arts.
