Group music lessons (Piano, Guitar, Auxiliary Percussion, Beatmaking, Drum-sets, Singing) - Grades PK4-6
Takes place at Breakthrough Montessori School:
Through musical exercises with Takoma Music School instructors, students will explore how music works and how it can be used to create something entirely new . We'll dive into songwriting and musical notation, and experiment with voice, hand percussion, and movement to bring our ideas to life. Alongside acoustic instruments, we’ll introduce electronic music and beat making—giving students hands-on experience crafting rhythms and sounds with digital tools. The class will collaboratively decide, through consensus-based decision-making, what direction their final project will take. It might be a live performance, a studio-style recording, a digital release, or something we haven’t thought of yet!
