Musical Background
Brookelove began studying classical bass at a young age, primarily performing in orchestral settings. Over time, their musical interests expanded beyond traditional performance into free improvisation, composition, and collaborative music-making.
While attending the Peabody Conservatory, Brookelove transitioned from the Classical Bass program into the Jazz department to formally study improvisation and composition. During this time, they developed a deep interest in spontaneous performance and improvisational systems as essential tools for musical communication and personal artistic expression.
