At Takoma Music School, creativity comes first. We offer one-on-one lessons in drums, piano, guitar, voice, bass, DJing, songwriting, and music production in an inspiring studio environment built for artists. Guided by trained musicians active and rooted in the DMC music scene working, students build confidence, create original work, and find their place in a thriving local music community.
Our approach to music lessons is focused around individual attention, and establishing a pathway to identify and nurture each student’s connection to music.

How it works
Getting started with your musical journey at TMS
Take a one-off intro lesson and then sign up for a weekly or bi-weekly lesson package.
Fill out the sign up form and we’ll contact you to book a 30 or 45 minute Intro Lesson to meet your instructor and get started with your instrument. Then choose a weekly lesson plan that works for you.
Lesson Packages
Book a one-off Intro Lesson with one of our instructors.
Once you have met your instructor and taken your intro lesson, you can enroll in one of our weekly or bi-weekly lesson packages. Each lesson package works on a 4-week cycle.
30-minute Weekly Lessons
$210 every four weeks (four lessons)
45-minute Weekly Lessons
$280 every four weeks (four lessons)
45-minute Bi-Weekly Lessons
$160 every four weeks (two lessons)
